Loving place to stay for the hardest night was the easiest for me to get Thur hear
Full disclosure, I am a graduate staff member at Helping Up Mission. That being said, I can personally account that GOD used HUM to save and transform my life in 2006-2007. The HUM family is certainly imperfect, but full of compassionate people who care deeply for others. A person's needs are met, but not immediately as there are hundreds in the program at any given time. Thanks for letting me share, I'll keep coming back!
I absolutely excellent place if you want to get help
I came here in 2009, graduated a year later and I still come weekly to run the Friday meeting for the new guys. God and this place truly saved my life. I would recommend the helping up mission to anyone in need of recovery, spiritual healing, as well as self esteem growth. 5 🌟 isn't enough for this outstanding program. Thank you to everyone who played a role in my experience. Truly grateful.
This is a great resource for all who are involved with it
The Helping Up Mission will help you in more ways than you can imagine.
Reorienting lives. Saving souls. I am thankful for the gift of HUM.
Smartest thing I have ever done was coming here 7 months ago. I'm still here, still clean, and my only regret is that I didn't come sooner. Amazing place (and I've been to many), highly recommend.
If you have love one in need of real caring help this the best place for them.
This place is good for spiritual recovery, is a nice place to binging a new life of living out off any addiction.
IIIt lives up to its title, HUM, they helped me up when I was mentally, emotionally and spiritually on my knees.😢 We are educated by caring ,loving and highly educated staff members, success does not come easy here, it requires self persiverance and integrity, something I had lost in my lifes journey, however is being restored here. I pay for nothing here, but have realized my price for admission was devasting through my active alcholism! Iam not ashamed to call this my home, I walk with my head high, I speak humbly not boastfully and realize God is doing for me what I could not do for myself.I belong to AA and they suggest 90 meetings in 90 days, I am a proudful soon to be alumni of Conerstone, an IOP program offered here, I did the math one day and realized, I have attended between 750 to 900 appointments in 6 months. We do some work here. Our daily requirements provide us with structure to face life in society, to obey rules here and the laws of the land, I could go on much longer about this ,as I refer to it, spiritual ACADEMY, as I breathe each breath it is one I believe that God through the staff and fellowship of fellow clients here help me achieve my goals and given me another breath and chance at life, God love and bless the HUM
I am at the HUM, veteran in need, and have received the help I did not know was out there for me. I have been given an opportunity to continue to meet my goals. Homelessness is such an epidemic! Thank you HUM.
best recovery house i have been to. great people on both sides of the spectrum (staff & clients)!!!
I was not expecting to feel so safe, so clean and so surrounded by men of dignity and character at a homeless mission. After my initial visit I made arrangements to come back with my husband and children (and others from our small group) so we could all get involved in bringing hope back to the group of men, who at one time were off course but thanks to the quality and extremely high standards of Helping Up Mission they are back or pointed back on track. This place is full of love, compassion and models the church in action. You can get involved by serving, donating, praying or go for the love and engagement you need to get your life back on track.
