I love this program, they helped me to live life on life's terms. The house that was provided to me was in a great neighborhood and my kids loved the schools in the area. I have been drug free for 15 years and I thank Dayspring for showing me the way and giving me a second chance in life. I would recommend this program to anyone that needs a fresh start.

I currently live in the dayspring program. I have been here for 21 months. The program is supposed to be a max of a 2 year placement. This place is for homeless women with children who are victims of domestic violence and substance abuse. Overall the original idea for this program was great, and the program is still a great program. The downside to it is that there is alot of disrespect and invasion of privacy, it is very strict, and sometimes they treat you as if your a child when the women here have children of they're own. If your not truly ready to work the program and get your life together then i dont suggest coming here.. but if you are, then this place is a great start!

I currently live in the Dayspring Village program and it definitely has its perks and its irks. It is an apartment based transitional shelter for women and children who are victims of domestic and substance abuse, and who have suffered from chronic homelessness. The services initially have a max stay time of 2 years. They provide staff and group supported environments and monthly team meetings to get mothers moving towards a successful transition into the community. Of course, there are your occasional disagreements and debates between expertise and experience, but overall, its a wonderful ending if you use it to your advantage.

This place does excellent work providing transitional housing to women with children. The First UU Church of Baltimore has worked to create a garden behind the building and I have been there many times to help with that. This is a really great place!
